Monday was Kyle's first day of first grade. He was super excited! He had a great first day. He already knows 4 kids from last year (two were in his class and two were in his reading group in another class) in his class. His teacher seems really nice. We met her at open house last Friday. He's very excited about the fact that he has a writer's workshop folder, a reading journal, and a math journal. They also earn table points for the table that is the quietest and cleanest at various times. So far his table is in the lead with 2 points. When they reach 5 points each person in their table gets to choose a prize. He's very excited about this as well! He's come home happy and with lots to tell about his day. So far so good!

First Grade
