Happy Halloween!

We had quite a few celebrations around Halloween this year. On Friday Max had a Harvest Party at his school in the morning and Kyle had his Halloween party and parade at school in the afternoon. Saturday evening Kyle and I were invited to a party at the home of his two best friends from school (who are also cousins). It was a fun time with music, food, and a clown for entertainment. And tonight we went to the Harvest Festival at the Germantown Soccerplex that is hosted by Church of the Redeemer every year. The boys got to play lots of games and play in the moonbounce all while "winning" lots of candy! Kyle decided to be a ninja this year and Max went with Tigger again (same costume as last year). I dressed up for the first time in years and went to the party with Kyle as a mouse. It was a fun weekend!

Halloween Cookies and Pumpkins

Today was a snowy/icy day outside so we stayed inside most of the day and carved pumpkins, roasted pumpkin seeds, and made Halloween sugar cookies in pumpkin, ghost, and cat shapes. Jason made his own batch with pumpkin spice added and cut them in circles and made different designs in the icing. All the cookies turned out delicious!

Butler's Orchard 2011

On Saturday we took our yearly trip to Butler's Orchard. We had a great time. The weather was pretty nice - not as cold and windy as it has been in past years. We did a hayride to pick our pumpkins, played in the hayloft, went on the slides and spiderweb, went through some mazes, fed some goats and petted some pigs, played on the tractor and train, played in a moonbounce and ate some yummy food. It was a fun time as always!
