Tonight I took Kyle to the annual Harvest Festival at our church. It was lots of fun and nice to have one on one time with Kyle. Jason stayed home and put Max to bed, but we took a picture of him in his bear costume before we left. They had lots of fun things to do including moon bounces, slides, and games. Kyle tried out one of the tunnel/slide play things and after that he decided to stick with the games. You win candy at each game station just for playing, but Kyle tried his best at each game and got so excited when he did what he was supposed to do! They had a basketball shooting game, ring toss games, bean bag toss games, and many, many more. Kyle dressed up as James the train and carried his pumpkin bucket around to collect all his candy. It was a fun evening!

Halloween party and Pumpkins
Last night we attended a Halloween Party at Ridge Road Park. It was quite cold and windy, but it was fun. The kids played at the park, so Kyle only wore his costume briefly since it's kind of difficult for him to run around in it. We had a potluck dinner and made fun goodie bags. Here are a couple pictures of the boys in their costumes. Kyle is James the train and Max is a bear.

Today was a cold, rainy day so we stayed inside and Kyle stayed in his pajamas ALL day! We decided to carve and paint pumpkins. We got two big pumpkins from our trip to Butler's Orchard and two little pumpkins from Kyle's field trip to the pumpkin patch. Kyle and Jason each came up with a design for the big pumpkins. Jason carved and Kyle assisted. Then, Kyle painted the two little pumpkins. Before he painted Max's little pumpkin that he picked out for him, he decorated it with stickers for him to play with. Max loved it!

Rock Hill Orchard
Today I accompanied Kyle on his first preschool field trip to Rock Hill Orchard. It was so cute to watch him run around with his new little friends. Kyle has been talking about Matthew and Hailey for awhile now and they will be coming over to our house tomorrow for a playdate. It was nice to finally meet them. I can totally see why they are Kyle's best friends in his class. We got to see some pigs, go on a hayride, pick pumpkins, and have a snack/playtime. It was a fun morning!

Butler's Orchard
Today we went to Butler's Orchard with Ma and Pa. They were having their annual pumpkin festival and there were lots of fun things to do. We took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and picked out two pumpkins to bring home! Kyle loved playing in the hay barn and jumping off mounds of hay. He also went down the big slide with Daddy, played on a train , fed a goat, rode a little tractor, went through a straw maze, and threw balls through a jack-o-lantern face. We also had some yummy food. Max was fascinated with the straw and interested in figuring out what in the world we were doing there. It was hard to get a picture of him with a smile because he was taking it all in and always seemed to have a look of awe/disbelief on his face! It was a fun day!

Orange boys
Today we met Kara and her boys, Woody and Cooper, at Ridge Road Park to play. Kyle, Woody, and Cooper were all wearing orange shirts. Apparently Woody has the same favorite color as Kyle, orange! The boys had fun playing on the slides, playing chase, and collecting sticks, rocks, and leaves. There was also lots of train talk and comparing of what they have on their birthday lists! :) We also ran into Ava while we were there so she was able to join in on some of the fun!

Max cuteness
Max gets so excited when Jason comes home from work! He loves to imitate his silly sounds and movements by making clicking sounds, blowing bubbles, shaking his head, and one time he even got a little "cha-cha-cha" out of him! Max has also recently discovered his toes and loves to put them in his mouth! Here is a cute video of Max and Daddy. He decided all on his own to lean his head down slowly toward Jason's face and Jason kissed him on his forehead. He thought it was great and did it over and over again! Also, here are a couple of recent photos of our 11 month old boy - I can't believe he's going to be one next month!

Chick-Fil-A
Today after I picked Kyle up from preschool we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and ended up spending 2 hours there since the boys were having so much fun! We had a yummy lunch and then spend most of our time in the play area. Kyle made 2 new friends that he had fun playing with, but at least half the time we were there we had the play area to ourselves so I got lots of cute pictures of the boys playing. It's fun that Max can play too now!
